On June 18th 1940 general Charles de Gaulle went to the BBC studios in London to launch a vibrant rallying call. He made it again on June 19th and June 22nd.
He questioned the Vichy government legitimacy and encouraged men and women to join him and carry on fighting against Germany and Italy. The poster "To all French people", of which there were many printings, is on walls in the United Kingdom.
The text is a summary of the three calls made by the chief of Free France and is considered as the founding text of the French resistance.
